ACCIDENT TO THE GOVERNOR.
Auckland, Last iNight RisPxcelloncy the Goveruorleft by special train to night for Onehunga to join the Hinemoa, In going down the Onehuoga wharf he got blinded by the wharf lights and walked over the wharf into the sea Me Nobel, the mate of the Hawea, wfcLh steamer was lying alongside,jumped iu to his rescue, but the Governor caught hold of a stringer of the wharf and was hauled op by the aid of a rope, apparently un injured. Fortunately It was Hood tide at the time. His Excellency want on hoard the Hinemoa, which sails at 8 o’clock to-morrow morning. Lady Jervois and party were on board the Hinemoa at the time of the accident.
