A Mutual Understanding. [RbOTEB’s TEIEGBAMS COPYR’GHI'J Sydney, Saturday. After the contusion of the Defence Conference, tie Premiers of New South Wales, Vctoria, and Queensland discussed the New Guinea question, and it is undestood that they arrived at a mutual urderstanding based on the meraoradum issued by Mr Griffiths, Premier of Qjeensland, on the subject. Some sligh modifications are being introduced iuto his scheme. The Australi m Colonies not represented at the Conference, will be consulted, and the proucial will then be submitted for the appro al of the Imperial Government.
