WILLOWBY SUNDAY SCHOOL.
The anniversary of the Willowby Sonday -chool was celebrated by the usual teaandpa ilic mee.iazat Willowby yesterday. Tne tea was served in the school room, and was largely attended by visitors from all parts of the’district. The tables were given and presided over by the I following ladies: S. Chapman, H Chapman, low, Smithies, Frisby man and Horsley. The meeting was held !in the church, which was crowded. Mr I Harding pr-sided, and after the Chairman’s address, Mr Low (superintendent) gave an account of the working of the school. Up to the present the school has been an undenominational one, and has been conducted by several energeti; Christian workers in the locality, but it ia now to be banded over to the Wesleyan body, who, from this time, will assume control of the institution. The school is in a vigorous and healthy condition, containing about 76 scholars and 15 teachers. Mr S. Chapman read the financial report, and addresses appropriate to the occasion were delivered by the Revs D. McNiooll, T. J. Wallis, and MrH- M. Jones. The usual votes of thanks wore carried* by acclamation, and the meeting closed with devotional exercises. —Own Correspondent
