All races are confined to horses that have been commonly resident in that portion of the old Mount Somers Road District, lying south of the North Ashburton river, from September SOth, 1885, and owned by a person who has resided in the said district during the same period. . 2. Three horses the bona fide property of different owners to start or no raoe.
3. f'-o entry will be received except on condition that the decision of the Com* mittee or whom they may appoint, will be final in all cases of dispute, or on all points in carrying out the programme 4. Protests must be made la writing, and handed to the Secretary, accompanied by a deposit of 20s within 30 minutes of the race being run. Should the protest prove frivolous, deposit to be forfeited. 5. All horses to be ridden out so long as they have a reasonable chance of winning. 6 Owners of horses must be subscribers of not less than 10s to the fund. 7.
