Groomage fees, ss, paid first service. ■ Racing results prove that the decision of the judges at our show, held on the 30th of October, with regard to our blood stock has been fully justified in the winner of the Melbourne Cop, the winner’s dam being got by Castle Hill, sire of our local horse Calstock.' Good breeding this. Castle Hill is acknowledged to be the sire of the best horses over sticks in the Southern Hemisphere: Python A Bay Horse bred by Hon E R. PYTHON has shown himself to be the most successful sire with half bred mares ever imported to New Zealand. Before leaving New 6onth Wales he sired that good horse, Rival; winner of the Gorintbion Cup in Sydney, carrying top weight and beating a field of eleven others. He also sired in New Zealand Comet and Trumpeter, winners of many good races, although put of half-bred marea. He la the sire of Busy-body, Hollywood and Monaghan, all lowing plenty of form and quality. Terms—Thoroughbred mares, LlO 10s; half-bred mares, L 5 6s. Payable Ist January, 1886.
