All races are confined to horses that 1 have been commonly resident in that portion of the old Mount Somers Road District, lying south of the North Ashburton river, from September 30th, 1885, and owned by a person who has resided in the said district during the same period. 2. Three horses the bona fide property of different owners to start or no race. 3. No entry will bo received except on condition that the decision of the Committee or whom they may appoint, will be final in all cases of dispute, or on ail points in carrying out the programme 4. Protests must be made lu writing, sod handed to the Secretary, accompanied by a deposit of 20a within 30 minutes of the race bring ran. Should the protest prove frivolous, deposit to be forfeited. 5.
