HAMPSTEAD SCHOOL.
The following ia the 101 l text of the Inspector's report opon the Hampstead School: — “ The school hu been conducted under somewhat unfavorable conditions during the year In one room three Standard classes have been taught, along with four 1 irge infant divisions, and as a omseq nence the higher classes have suffered from the want of that quiet which is so necessary to sustain mental effort Although the results in Standard passes are not very high, yet they must be con sidered reasonably satisfactory. In arithmetic on y was there marked weakness. All the extra subjects required by.the re gulations have been taught, and satisfactory progress has been made. The order and attention were good. - L. B. " Standard ll—William Clayton, John Hitchens, William Pritchard, William Foreman, Arthur Illingworth, Frederick Rose, Charles Alison, Lionel Corderey, Ernest Meyenbnrg, Philip Addis, Isaac Baigent, George Hart, Charles Fowke, Jamas Williamson, John Alcorn, Lizzie Welsh, Jane Addis, Emily Hoare, Edith Andrews, Jessie Mattheson, Jane Finlay, Annie Cooper.—Six failed. “ Standard I—Charles Olsen, Thomas Welch, Benjamin Carter, George Hunt, Frederick Johnson, Frank Stigley, James Glanville, Ernest Parkins, Cissy Hunt, Edith Millicham, T ncy Penlington, Jane Rattray, Isabella Millar, Bessie Lamb, Mary Anna Bevan, Sarah Harrison, Ellen Oaird, Robina Monro, Louis* Mania, Barbara Jamieson, Laura Johnson, Ells Clayton, Cirri-tins Dow, Ida Ray, Rachel Hood.—Two failed.”
