Totalizator Stakes, of 15 sovs ; minimum weight Bst; nomination 1 sov, to be made to the Secretary immediately after the County Plate is run. Welter Handicap, of 40 sovs ; nomination, 1 sov; acceptance, 2 sovs; minimum weight, lOst. For horses that have never won more than 26 sovs in one event on the flat. 2 miles. 6. Consolation Handicap, of 20 sovs; nomination, 1 sov, to be made to the Secretary immediately after the Welter Handicap is run; acceptance, free, to be notified to the Secretary within ten minutes of declaration of weights. 1 mile. ’ RULES AND REGULATIONS. 1. No entry wlll.be received except -on the condition that all dispates, claims, and objections arising oat of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, : or whom they may appoint; their decision on all points connected with carrying out this programme to be final. 2. Canterbury Jockey Club Racing Roles strictly adhered to. 3. A district horse shall mean any horse that has been commonly resident in the district lying between the rivers Selwyn and Waltaki from July 16, 1885, and up to the date of the forthcoming meeting, and owned by a person who has resided in the said district daring the same period. 4. Five pec cent, will be deducted from the gross of all moneys payable in accordance with this programme for expenses of the coarse. 6. All nominations and acceptances go to the funds of the Club. NOMINATIONS. All nominations to be accompanied by fees, name, age and description of horse, and colors of rider, and in the hands of the Secretary (address —Ashburton) not later than 9 p.m. on Thursday, November 19,1886. WEIGHTS. Weights for the first day's handicaps will be declared on Friday, December 4, 1885. Weights for the second day’s handicaps will be declared at 8 o'clock on the evening of the first day’s racing. ACCEPTANCES. Acceptances for the first day’s handicaps mast be made to the Secretary not later than 9 p.m. on TUESDAY, December 8, 1886.
