RULES AND REGULATIONS. 1. No entry will be received exoppt on the condition that all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint; their decision on points connected with carrying oat this programme to be final. 2. Canterbury Jockey Club Racing Rules strictly adhered to. 3. A district horse shall mean any horse that has been commonly resident in the district lying between the rivers Selwyn and Waitaki from July 16, 1885, and np to the date of the forthcoming meeting, and owned by a person who has resided in the said district daring the same period. 4. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross of all moneys payable In accordance with this programme for expenses of the coarse. 5. All nominations and acceptances go to the funds of the Club. All nominations to be accompanied by fees, name, age and description of horse, and colors of ridtp, and in the hands of the Secretary (address —Ashburton) not later than 9 p.m. on Thursday, November 19,1885. WEIGHTS. Weights for the first day’s handicaps will be declared on Friday, December 4, 1886. Weights for the second day’s handicaps will be declared at 8 o'clock on the evening of the first cbty’s racing. ACCEPTANCES. Acceptances for the first day’s handicaps must be made to the Secretary not later than 9 p.m. on TUESDAY, December 8, 1885.
