ACCIDENT TO THE COLONIAL TREASURER.

Sir Julius Vogel met with an ac ddeut in the Commercial hotel about half-pasteleven this morning. |lt appears that Sir Julias had only one attendant with him instead of two aa uaual, when one of his crutches struck against the side of the doorway and slipped from under him. Sir Julius fell heavily on his side, bis left leg being doui led under him. He was rather stunned, and much shaken by the fall. tie was carried to hia couch and Dr Prins was soon in attendance The doctor found on examination that the small bone of the left leg had been fractured near the ankle. The bone was set and everything possible done for the patient’s comfort. Latkk. Sir Julius Vogel’s medical attendant considers it probable that he will be confined to his bed for three weeks from the effects of the accident.
