The trial of Mr Stead and others concerned in the Lily Armstrong case was concluded to-day, when Mr Stead and Mrs Jarrett were found guilty of abduction, Messrs Booth and Jacques being acquitted. Sentence on prisoners was deferred pending the result of a trial for indecent assault in connection with the same case. German Ambassador. Count von Hatzteldt, who replaces Count von Munster as Ambassador for the German Empire at the Court of St James, arrived to-day from Berlin. ’Tia Greece. ’ Athenh, November 7. The Greek Chamber of Deputies, in view of the present disturbed state of affairs, voted twelve million drachmas ' towards the navy, while thirty millions have, been passed as a patriotic loan in of hostilities being rendered necessary.
