SCHOOL COMMITTEE.

Tc XBC Kditoe. Sib, —I see by advertisement in your paper that a public meeting is being eallpd to discuss the already too much diseased question of the removal of oar faead- w' master. It would be well if those gentlemen who have initiated this movement were to pause a moment, and consider as to what is likely to become of their actions. It iaa very easy matter to call a meeting, and it is also very easy to raise a clamour. It Is, however, not so easy to rectify mistakes when they are made. I take it that in* stead of benefiting the master it will only do him harm, as it will further bring him into notoriety. Now, is it not a fact that the majority of the “Committee ” have the weight of, evidence on their aide, and that in their decisions they are only following in the ■ steps of their superiors—the Board of Education. .That the master baa not no* complished what he ought, and that he has committed grave errors I presume no one will deny, and as it ia to the interests of the children we have to look; let os by all means take a commonsense view of the matter, and leave It where it is, in the hands of the Board to decide. It is to be hoped that, all those who desire the peace of the community, and the prosperity of the School, especially the Committee, will abstain from going t<t the meeting, and thus show their good sense. I am, etc., . Pabbht.
