Whereas by virtue of the powers conferred upon it by the Road Boards Act, 1882, and of all other powers vested in it in that behalf, this Council has constituted a new Road District, with the name of “ The Goldstream Road District,” out of part of the Longbeach Road District, and it is enacted by the thirteenth section of the said Act that when the boundaries of any Road District are altered by the formation of a new district out of part of an existing district, under the authority of section four of the said Act, the Council of the County in which the altered Road District is situated shall, by Special Order, dissolve the Board thereof and make provision for the election of a new Board. Now, the County Council of the County of Ashburton doth hereby order that the Road Board of the Longbeach Road District shall be dissolved, and the same is hereby dissolved accordingly. a rut it is also ordered that the election of a new Board shall take place on the day of 1885, and that Mr bo the Returning Officer, to conduct such election.
