Th* following is the Christchurch Corn Ex - chang* report or the week ending Friday, the Sth of June The business of the week has been more spirited for spot parcels which have I been jginyipallv taken up lor shipment to the quotations o last week have beat barely sustained, owing chiefly to the further, depression in the London market, , PrimeTinnlmg wheat, especially Hunter’ and Pearl, command attention among local millers, Tuscan is worth a penny less, and is only enquired for by shippers, second quality is still neglected. Fair parcels of chickwheat have dunged bands at quotations. Oats —Very few transactions have occurred during the week; large stocks are held by merchants, but farmers’ lines that can f o straight through for shipment receive full attention. Barley is still clnpgish, and the sanje remark applies to beans andpeas, Prussian Blues excepted, which meet widTa strong enquiry. Grass-seed is firm with very few parcels offering; cocksfoot is quiet Potatoes have, in consequence of advices bom Sydney, suffered a further decline In this market Quotations are as follow : Wheat —Prior, e milling Tuscan, as qd ; Hunter’s and Pearl, as rod; second quality, zs ad to as fid; chickwheat whole and fit for shipment, 3S f.o.b. Oats—Milling and short, bright feed, is qd to is lod ; slightly discolored, is yd to is 8d ; long and inferior, is 4d to Is fid, fab. Barley—First-class malting nominally 3s 6d to 3s qd; second, as qd to 3$ 3d ; feed) is qd to as, C hristchurch. Beans —as 6d ; feed peas, as 3d to as fid; Prussian Blues. 3s fid, f.o.b. Grass seed—Machine dressed, 4s to 43 3d; good farmers’ lines, 3s to 3* fid, to.b.; cocksfoot. 3d to f.o.b, Lyttelton; discolored, ad. Potatoes—32s fid at country stations for Derwents. Butter—oj£d to lod; cheese, to 4}£d, f.o.b. Lyttelton.
