SPORTING
THE grand national.
(Bt Telegraph.) Christchurch, To day. There is very little t peculation on the approaching Grand National Steeplechase. There is not one straight out book on the event, bnt some of the bookmakers are laying doubles and trebles. Training is progressing satisfactorily. Linwood is considered almost a moral for the Grand National, and Master Agnes for the Hardies. Donald, Secretary, and Pickles are the most fancied for the Maiden.
