Mr T. Bullock reports on the horse market for the week ending Saturday, May 16th : There was a very large entry of horses for this day’s sale, viz—49, and about half the number were sold, but at slightly reduced prices, except for one or two first class draughts, which brought full market rates as per prices given behnVs. ~ draughts, suitable for farm work, which at this season of the year ought to be sought after,'are very dull of sale, and will onlp<seU at less figures than t ose ruling a month «r six weeks ago. Really good young draughts, say three to four years old, are still saleable for the Sydney market, but few are offering. : Light harness horses are not fetching so much as they did two months ago. Out of the total entry (49) 23 were ; o’d at the f I!owing,res Medium draughts, suitable for farm work, from Lie to Ll 4 ; ditto superior, L 24 to L2B; three-year-old colts, a pair, L 23 ; d tto, rather light, L 4 15s to L 6 each; inferior draughts, a number changed hands' at from I 4 gs to L 9; light harness horses. L 4 to L 8; hacks, pretty good, L 4 iss to L 6; scrubbers at low figures.
