Li 1,000,000 for military purposes, introduced by Mr Gladstone, Lord Randolph Churchill characterised the agreement come to with Russia in the strongest terras as a cowardly surrender of England’s rights. The vote was finally adopted by the House, Mr Gladstone consenting to the discussion of the policy of the Government being fixed for next Thursday, [Received May 6, 12.45 p.m ] London, May 5. In the House of Commons to-night Mr Gladstone announced that it had been arranged that the delimitation of the Afghan frontier should be proceeded with in London.

Generals Lumsden and Stewart have been re-called from Afghanistan.
