THE ZEALANDIA DISPUTE.
Auckland, Last Night The Zealandia has 108 through passengers, among whom is Lord Macdonald! Nothing is known as to the state of things respecting the Seamen’s Union dispute? The Union expected some of their representatives as passengers on board, and chartered a steamer to take the officers to visit the Zealandia, but were not allowed to go alongside the ship, which remains in the stream, and allows no one on board without a written order from the agents' A large body of seamen were on the wharf, watohipg if seamen or firemen were being shipped, and the police were on the alert in case of disturbance. Auckland cargo was only booked on condition that shippers undertook to put it on board, as the Lumper’s Union refuse to handle cargo. (By Telegraph.) Auckland, To-day. A representative of the Sydney See* men’s Union was on Board the Zealandia as a passenger. The captain discovered that he was tampering with the grew, and placed him under arrest, and would not allow him to land here till immediately before the departure of the vessel, which took place at 6.30 a. m.
