Second Day. The weather to-day was even worse than that of yesterday, and consequently the attendance was smaller. The booth holders and the frequenters of the totalisator again gave every satisfaction, and notwithstanding the formidable difficulties before them the various officials discharged their duties cheerfully and well. The following are the results of io day’s races : County Hubdlk Race, of 30 bovs ; over six Sights of hurdles, about 3ft 6ia high ; one mile and a half. Mr Healey’s b g Bill Allan, syrs, list (J. Graham’s b g Fox, 4yrs, 9at 51b (Cox) 0 The field was despatched to a splendid start, and they took the first hurdle in close order. At the railway turn Bill Allan went to the front, closely attended by Dick and Fox, Wrangler ten lengths off, last. At the back of the course Fox fell back, and Wrangler improved his position. Turning into the straight Bill Allan held a lead of two lengths, but at the distance he was challenged by Wrangler, and the top weight answering unkindly the result was momentarily in doubt, but Cotton soon set his mount’ going again, and won by a length. On weighingin Cotton was loudly cheered for his horsemanship, but Dunn, who certainly rode tte better race of the two, was allowed to we'gh in without a similar acknowledgment.
