It is announced that in view of the existing crisis the Admiralty has resolved upon immediately reinforcing the Naval Squadron on the Australian and China stations. Information is to band that the Russian Cover iment is purchasing swift Cfuisers in the United States. The Standard. i\i\% morning publishes a telegram from its correspondent in Central Asia, dated April 7, to the Effect that the Russian troops are pursuing their advance along the Murghab .River, (Received April 14,1.30 p.m ) * -. London, April 13 | n the House of Commons to-day, Mr Gladstone referred to the recent negotiations between Earl Dufferin and the Ameer of Afghanistan as entirely , satisfactory. Referring to the recent hostilities at Penjdah, Mr Gladstone Informed the House that there was a considerable discrepancy between the account and that forwarded by General Komaroff. The Government h&d telegfapbed to Sir P. XLurasden to ■ ascertain the actual facts of the case.
