At the Supreme Court, this afternoon, the Goldsmith v Anderson, was partly heird. The claim is for LSOO damages. It is alleged that defendant had/ said Goldsmith offered the jockey of a horse in a private match at the New Year’s meeting L2O to pul! him. The cue will be resumed to-morrow. Bishop Redwood left by the steamer Ruapehu this evening for England, en route for Europe. His sudden departure is somewhat of a surprise, and the nature of bis visit has not been disclosed.
