ASHBURTON— To-day.

(Before H. C. S. Baddelay, Esq , R.M.) Drunkenness. William Parker was charged with having been drunk in Cass street yesterday, and with having employed abusive language towards the arresting constable. Constable Smart gave evidence as to the condition and arrest of the accused, who was fined 2Ds and costs, with the alternative of 43 hours’ imprisonment. For paving employed abusive language the accused was fined Ls.—Joseph Barnes, for drunkenness, was fined 5s and costs, with the alternative of 24 hours’ imprisonment. Civil Oases.
