A small cottage was destroyed by fire at the rifle camp this morning. It is supposed to have been caused thorough a frying pan running over. Two protests have been lodged against Purnell, Wanganui, who is the second in the Bifle Belt:—lst: For using two rifles in one match, it being alleged that only one shall be used; and, 2nd, for changing order of firing with another competitor. The protests are lodged by Bichardson, of Otago, and Pandley.
