ASHBURTON— To-bat.
(Before His Honor Judge Ward.) ORDERS FOB DISCHARGE.
John Scrimegeour. —Mr Gaygill appeared on behalf of Mr Russell for the debtor.—Order granted. 0. W. Ireland.—There was no appearance of the debtor, and the case was struck out of the list.
G. A. Vincent.—Mr Crisp for the debtor.—Order granted.
Thomas Trevurza.—Mr Crisp, who appeared for the debtor, said that his client had filed some two years ago, and the application had accordingly teen made under the Bankruptcy Act of 1876. —His Honor remarked that the affidavits did not show that the requirements of the Act bad been complied with, and the order could not therefore be made.—On the application of Mr Crisp the case was adjourned until next Court day, his Honor stating that the debtor would then have to give some good reason for having allowed the matter to remain in abeyance for such a length of time. PUBLIC EXAMINATION. J. A Persson—Mr Caygill appeared on behalf of Mr Branson for the debtor.— The Deputy Official Assignee stated that he bad agreed with the debtor’s solicitor to ask for an adjournment in this case until next Oourt day.—Adjournment granted. William Broker —Mr Crisp for the debtor.—Examination declared closed. ( orders for costs. Orders for costs were granted in the following estates :—John Scrimgeour (Mr Oaygill for Mr Russell), and George A. Vincent (Mr Crisp;. IN HE JAMES QUDSELL, On the application of Mr Purnell next Court day was fixed as the date for ths debtor to apply for his order of discharge. The Court than adjourned.
