Canterbury Jockey Club Racin Rules strictly adhered to. 3. A district .horse shall mean any horse that has been commonly resident in the Ashburton County from 16th, January, 1885, and up to the date of the forthcoming meeting and owned by a person who has resided in the said County during the same period. 4 Fi”e per cent, will be deducted from the gross of all monies payable in accordance with this programme for expenses ol the course. 5. All nominations and acceptances go to the funds of the Club. NOMINATIONS. All nominations to be accompanied by fees, name, age, and description of hone 'and colors of rider, and in the hands ol the Secretary (address—Ashburton) not later than 9 p.m. on Thursday, 26th March, 1885. WEIGHTS. Weights for the first diy’o handicaps will be declared on Thursday, 23rd April, 1885. Weights for the second day’s handicaps will be declared at 9 o’clock on the evening of the first day’s racing. ACCEPTANCES. Acceptances for the first day’s Handicaps must be made to the Secretary not later than 9 p.m. on TUESDAY, 28th April, 1885.
