A Suspect. Gilbert, the Irish American who was arrested on suspicion of being con-, earned in the dynamite outrage at the 7 Tower on December 24th, was to-day re-examined at Bow street Police Court. The evidence adduced showed that the prisoner had been in the habit of frequenting the tower, and that he had in his possession a loaded ■ detonator. The enquiry- was further : adjourned. Australian tallow has ad- - vanced 6d per cwt; beef, average quality, is at 34s 6d ; mutton, 355. The total stock in London today is ' 18,300 casks. War News. London, February 3. Lord Wolseley telegraphs the Horse Guards that the enemy has Berti, and the place is soar occupied by Major-General Earle, who reports the Nile most difficult to navigate, but that his column are graduallyovercoming the -obstacles, O’Donovan Bossa. New York, February 3. O’Donovan Rossa was shot at and wounded in the streets of this city today by an English woman. She was at once arrested and detained in custody.
