WESLEYAN CONFERENCE.

Dd bdin, Yesterday. The Wesleyan Ministerial Conference resumed on Saturday morning, and after a short sitting the mixed Conference then resumed. The principal business was the discussion of the following resolution, moved by Mr Edson :—“ That this Conference, while loyally submitting to the decision of the late General Conference on the subjects remitted from this Conference, considering their importance as bearing upon the efficient prosecution of our work, deeply regrets that in so many instances the decision was adverse to the matured and strongly expressed wish of our church in this colony.’’ This was after debate carried by 22 votes to 6 A motion was also carried protesting against the action of the present Ministerial Conference in postponing the appointment of a connectional evangelist, and on the motion of the Rev M. Morley all the resolutions relating to the matter were rescinded. The Rev A. Reid was appointed principal of the Three Kings Training Institution, Auckland. The Conference resumed at 7.3) p.m., and the journal of proceedings having been signed the session ended.
