Mr T. Bullock reports on the horse market for the week ending Saturday, January 10: On account of the Christmas holidays, there has been very little doing in the horse market for the last lortnight, but on Saturday 'here was a larger attendance, and a more numerous entry than for some weeks past, and a larger number sold, but the class of horses offering are of an inferior description, and the few good draughts that are entered command a ready sale at satisfactory prices. Cut of the! total entry of 34, 18 were sold at the foliowing prices, viz;—Medium draughts, of a fairly good stamp, L2O 10s to L 231 ditto, rather light, Lil to Ll 3 I os. Light harness horses of a good description, from Ln. A number of hacks; inferior, L 4 15s to Ls 5s ; young 2 and 3-yea T-olds of an inferior description, from 1 Lsto L 7 10s. Reapers and binders, I offered a number of second-hand McCornjick’s, Wood’s and Deering’s 3 were sold at from L 6 to Li 2, according to the condition they were in, and a McCormick string binder at L 33 10s.
