Ashburton Guardian Office, Monday af.ernoon, Mr T. Bullock reports on the horse market for the week ending Saturday, December 2o;— There was a small entry of horses, viz., 21, a large proportion of which were sold at satisfactory prices, very few first-class draughts are offering just now, and for a large proportion of the medium draughts which are brought_ forward, sellers will persist in placing prohibitory reserves on them, consequently, fewer are changing hands than otherwise would. Out of the total entry of 21, 12 were sold as follows : —Medium draughts, Lis to Ll 7, aged ditto, L 6 15s to Lio; hacks, pretty good, L 6 to Lll, aged, L 3 to L 5 10s ; young, unbroken, light harness horses, L 6 to L 9.
