At the Supreme Court, four Maoris and one European were given from eighteen months to three years for horse stealing. J udge Gillies said buyers of stolen horses wert equally guilty, and ought to be put in the dock. The jury in the case of Finlayson for arson, could not agree, and were locked up for the night. |BY TELEGRAPH.] Gisborne, To-day. At the Supreme Court, Finlayson, for arson, was sentenced to two years.
