TINWALD TOWN BOARD.
The Tinwald Town Board met at the Temperance Hall, Tinwald, on Saturday evening. Present Messrs Shearer (chairman), Reid, Innis, Houston and Bickerstaff. MINUTES. The minutes of the inaugural meeting of the Board were read and confirmed. CLERK. The Chairman reported that he had received two tenders, which he submitted to the meeting, for the execution of the official work appertaining to the Board. It was resolved to accept Mr 0. Jephson’s tender at L2O per annum, and that gentleman was appointed Clerk for the year 1885. KXET MEETING. A prolonged discussion, mainly sustained by the representatives of the press, ensued in respect to the date on which the next meeting of the Board should be hold, and ultimately Friday, 26ih inst., was fixed. CONCLUSION. In reply to a question from the reporters’ table, the Chairman announced that the business was concluded, and the Board was left sitting.
