Ashburton Guardian Office, Thursday afternoon. Messrs Matson, Cox and Co. report upon the live Stock market for the week end ng December 2nd as follows;—On Tuesday we held our usual weekly sale a) tee Tin a aid Yards of sheep, cattle and igs. The cataLgu ■ for th day was a good and varied one, both in sheep ana ca-tle, end the bidoing more spirited, especially in cattle. The attendance was larger than we have seen for some ime.. In fat sheep the n.a ket was well supplied with (rood shorn crossbred wethers and both wool.y and shorn merino wethers. In stores there were several pens of merino ewes and lambs with a fair percentage and some shorn crosbrel hoggets and nurmo wethers. In cattle there was a varied entry of both fat, spnngeis and stores, all of which sold at prices sightly in advance of late rates.
