Ashburton Guardian Office, Friday afternoon. Mr T. Bullock reports on the horse market for the week ending Saturday, November 29; 28 horses were y arded for the day’.- sale, a large proportion of which were of rather an inferior description, consequently biddings were not nearly so spirited as at the previous Saturday s sale. Fcr anything like young useful draughts there were buyers, but they declined to purchase aged and inferior horses even at low figures, and a 1 r£.er cumbsr than usual were turned out unsold. Out of the total entry of 28 only 9 were sold at the following prices Medium draughts, Lio ros to L 24 ; aged and inferior, L 3 up to L?; hacks, from 12 15s; mec ium, up to L 8 ; light harness horses, L 7 to LB. 2 second-hand McCormic reapers and binders brought Ll2 ios and Ll 3 respectively; spring can, Ll 6.
