Death of a Heroine. Wellington, To day. Mrs Frank Wordsworth, known as the heroine of the Cruzets, she being the only female who escaped at the wreck of the Strathmore, and for many months participated in the hardships and sufferings of the survivors until rescued, died on Saturday evening, aged 58. The Appeal Court. In the Appeal Court case of Douslm v Brownlee (Marlborough), the appeal was dismissed. This was the last case on the list, and the Court adjourned. The Premier. The Hon B. It is also intended to let by contract the unfinished unemployed section of the Hindon contract.
