Handicap Hurdle Race, of 26 sots (over six flights cf hurdles, about 3ft Gin high), and a sweep of 1 sot each, to be paid to the Secretary before 9 p. m. the night before the races; to go to the second horse. The Methvbn Cop, a handicap of 50 sots and a sweep of 2 sots each (to be paid to the Secretary before 9 p. m. the night before the race) to go to the second .horse. Distance, 1* miles. Distance, 1 mile. RULES A'ltfD REGULATIONS. 1. No entry will be received except on the condition that all disputes, claims and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, oi whom they may appoint; their decision on all points in carrying out the programme to be final. 2. Canterbury Jockey Club Racing Rules strictly adhered to. 3. A district horse shall mean any. horse whose owner has resided in the Mount Hutt or South Rskaia Road Board districts, or Alford Forest as far as Bowyer’s Stream, thence along Thompson’s Track to Mitcham for three months immediately preceding the races, and has been thoir hand Jldo propart.y during that time4. Five per cent will be deducted from the gross of all monies payable In accordance with this programme for expenses of the course. 5. All nominations and acceptances go to the funds of the Club.
