Handicap Hurdle Race, of 25 sovs (over six flights cf hurdles, about 3ft Gin high), and a sweep of 1 sor each, to be paid to the Secretary before 9 p.m. the night before the races; to go to the second horse. The Methven Ocp, a handicap of 50 sovs and a sweep of 2 sovs each (to be paid to the Secretary before 9 p. m. the night before the race) to go to the second horse. Distance, miles. Nomination, 2 sovs ; acceptance, 1 BOV. 4. Trotting Hack, a distance handicap of 12 sovs. Distance, 3 miles. No* urinations, 1 sov ; acceptance, 1 sov. 5. District Selling Hag l Race, of If sovs ; the winner to be sold by auction immediately after the race for 10 sovs, any surplus over that amount to go to the funds of the Club; catch weights. Distance, 1 mile. Entrance. 1 sov. 7. Consolation Handicap, of 15 sovs, for horses that have been beaten daring the meeting. Nominations to be made to the Secretary immediately after the District Selling Race. Nomination, 1 eov ; acceptance free, to be made within ten minutes after the declaration of the weights. Distance, 1 mile. RULES AND REGULATIONS, 1. No entry will be received except on the condition that all disputes, claims and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint; their decision on all points in carrying out the programme to be final. 2. Canterbury Jockey Club Racing Rules strictly adhered to. 3. A district horse shall mean any horse whose owner has resided in the Mount Hutt or Stuth Rakaia Road Board districts, or Alford Forest as far as Bowyer’s Stream, thence along Thomp* son’s Track to Mitcham for three months immediately preceding the races, and has been their hand fide property during that time-
