THE CANTERBURY AGRICULTURAL AND PASTORAL ASSOCIATION’S SHOW.
(BT TELKOBJJPH ) Ohbistohubch, ’To-day. Joy came with th'e morning when it broke fine for the great day of the Canterbury Metropolitan and Pastoral Show. Visitors in crowds are going to the Show grounds at Sydenham, and the trams and coaches are doing a roaring trade. The display throughout was a most imposing one, notwithstanding the fact that some of the Southern exhibitors had held back this year to the regret of the friends of the A. and P. Association. The following medals were awarded Hold medal for the beat bull of any age, G. Steel’s Rosa’s Earl; gold medal for the best cow, John Deans’ Duchess of Brunswick 6th. The two silver medals for merino sheep were taken by W. H. Teschemaker, and two by A. McMaster, H. R. and J. B. Parker, H, Overton, 0. Witherell, W. Boag, H. J. Washbourne. J. Deans, and Dudley and North y also secured medals in various classes of sheep.
