District Hurdle Race, a handicap of 15 sovs; over six flights of hurdles, about 3ft 6in high. Distance l£ miles. Nomination, 1 sovs; acceptance, 1 sova. 6. District Selling Hao v Race, of 10 sovs ; the winner to be sold by auction immediately after the race for 10 sova, any surplus over that amount to go to the funds of the Club; catch 'weights. Distance, 1 mile. Entrance, 1 sov. 7. Consolation Handicap, of 15 sovs, for horses that have been beaten during the meeting. Nominations to be made to the Secretary immediately after the District Selling Race. Nomination,! sov ; accaptance free, to be made within ten minutes after the declaration of the weights. RULES AND REGULATIONS. 1. No entry will be received except on the condition that all disputes, claims and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint; their decision on all points in carrying out the programme to be final. 2. Canterbury Jockey Club Racing Rules strictly adhered to. 3. A district horse shall mean any horse whose owner has resided in the Mount Hutt or South Rakaia Road Board districts, or Alford Forest as far aa Bowyer’s Stream, thence along Thompson’s Track to Mitcham for three months immediately preceding the races, and has been their bond fide property during that time.
