Ashburton Guardian Office, Monday afternoon. Mr T. Bullock reports on the horse market for the week ending Saturday, Nov. Bth : Si horses were entered for the day’s sale, but mostly of a light description. No firs -class draughts were yarded. There was a spirited bidding for nearly all classes; as a proof cf this out of the 21 entered 19 were sold. Medium draughts, Ll sto Ll 6 10s; do, rather of a light description, Ll2 to Ll 4; three-year-o d light, L 9 to Ll2; light-harness horses, 1 5 15 s to Lq los; hacks, L 6 10s to Ll2; do scrubbers at low prices. Previous to the horse sale I offered several properties, but biddings were again very languid, and out of the list»ffered I only succeeded in selling T.S. 1215 at 1.53 IDs. lam indebted to Mr D. Thomas for the services he has rendered me at my Saturday sales during the last six weeks.
