Handicap Huddle Pace, of 25 sots (over eight Sights cf hurdles, aboat 3ft Gin high), and a sweep of 1 sor each, to be paid to the Secretary before 9 p.m. the night before the races; to go to the second horse. Distance, 2 miles. Nominations, li sovs ; acceptance, 1 sovs. 3. ThbMethven Ccp, a handicap of 50 sovs and a sweep of 2 sovS each (to be paid to the Secretary before 9 p.m. the night before the race) to go to the second horse. Distance, 2 miles. Nomination, 2 sovs ; acceptance, 1 sov. 4 Trotting Race, a distance handicap of 12 sovs. Distance, 3 miles. No* ruinations, £ sov ; acceptance, £ sov. 5. Distbict Hukdle Raoe, a handicap of 15 sovs; over eight fiiahts of hurdles, about 3ft Gin high. Distance 2 miles. Nomination, 1 jjaovs ; acceptance, 1 sovs. 6. District Selling Hag v Race, of 10 sovs ; the winner to be sold by auction immediately after the race for 10 sovs, any surplus over that amount to go to the funds of the Club; catch weights. Distance, 1 mile. Entrance, 1 sov, 7. Consolation Handicap, of 15 sovs, for horses that have been beaten daring the meeting. Nominations to be made to the Secretary immediately after the District Selling Race. Nomination, 1 sov ; acceptance free, to be made within ten minutes after the declaration of the weights. Distance, 1 mile.

RULES AND REGULATIONS. 1. No entry will be received except on the condition that all disputes, claims and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint; their decision on all points in carrying oat the pro* gramme to be final. 2. Canterbury Jockey Club Racing Rules strictly adhered to. 3. A district horse shall mean any horse whose owner has resided in the Mount Hutt or South Rakaia Road Board districts, or Alford Forest as far as Bowyet’s Stream, thence along Thompson’s Track to Mitcham for three montha immediately preceding the races, and has been their bond fide property during that time4. Five per cent will be deducted from the gross of all monies payable in accordance with this programme for expenses of the course. 5. All nominations and acceptances go to the funds of the Club.
