First Race to start at 12.31 p. m. I. Hunter's Hurdle Race (handicap), of 15 sovs, over six flights of hurdles, ■ about 3ft 6in high ; nomination, 10s ; acceptance, 15*. Amateur riders allowed lOlba. li miles. 2. Winter Handicap, of 20 sovs, nomination, 10s; acceptance, 20s; 14 miles on the flat. 3, Hunt Club Cup (handicap), of 20 sovs over such country and jumps as f he Stewards may appoint ; nomination, 10s ; acceptance, 20s. Amateur riders allowed lOlbs 4. Flying Handicap, of 10 sovs ; nomination, 10s; acceptance, 10s. | miles on the flat. 5. RULES AND REGULATIONS. , Ir No entry will be received except upon the condition that all disputes, claims, aud objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, their decision on all points connected with parrying out this programme to be final. 2. Ashburton Racing Club rules strictly adhered to. 3. Horses will not be qualified to compete in the Hunter’s Hurdle Race and Hunt Club Cup, unless they have been fairly bunted to the satisfaction of the Committee during the present season with the Ashburton hounds, and have been < commonly resident in the Ashburton County from May Isl, 1884, and up to th date of the forthcoming meeting and 1 owned by members of the Ashburton Hunt Club who have resided in the same County during the same period. 4. All nominations to be accompanied by entrance fees and age of horse and colors of rider, and in the hands of the Secretary not later than 9 p,m. on Saturday, 26th July, 1884, Weights will be declared about Thursday, 31st July, 1884, and acceptances must be in the hands of the Secretary not iater than 9 p.m. Tuesday, sth August, 1834.
