RULES ANd"rEGULATIONS. 1. No entry will be received except on the condition that all disputes, claims, •and objections arising out of the racing shall bis decided by the Stewards, or whom tbey may appoint; their decision con all points o nneoted with carrying out this programme to be final -2. Canterbury Jockey Club Racing Buies strictly adhered to. 3. :A district horse shall mean any ' horse that has been commonly resident in the Ashburton County from July Bth, 1884, and np to the date of the forthcoming meeting and owned by a person who has resided in the said County during the same period. 4. Five per cent will be deducted from the gross of all monies payable in accordance with this programme for expenses of the course. 5. All nominations and acceptances go to the funds of the Club. NOMINATIONS AND ACCEPTANCES . All entries and nominations to be accompanied by entrance fees, name, and age of the horse, and colors of rider, and In the hands of the Secretary not later than O p.m. on Monday, October 20th. Weights for the first day’s handicaps and Open Hurdle Race will be published on Saturday, November 15th. Weights for the other handicaps will be published at 8 o’Mock on the evening of the first day’s j racing. . Acceptances for the first day’s hamh s caps and Opeti'Hnrdle Race to be made to the Secretary not later than 9 p. m. on Tuesday* November 18th ; acceptances for other handicaps at 9 o’clock on the evening of the first day’s.racing. \ N.B.—The attention of owners is particularljr called to the fact that no nomination or acceptance will be received unless rr is lodged with thb Secretart before the hour stated for closing..
