A PETTY ACCUSATION REFUTED.
To THE EDITOE. Sir, —In answer to the working man'a letter in this morning's Aahburton Mail extra I beg to state that I have done shearing on and off for Mr Walker for the past twelve years, and it has always been the usual pustom after shearing at Yaletta to go to the Gorge and finish. In the event of any shearer not wishing to proceed to the Gorge and found a man to taVe his place, Mr Walker was only too pleased to pay him his cheque, and, Sir, I may add that I shall only be too glad to shear for Mr Walker another twelve years', and sincerely hope that any working man will not be led away with such a letter and will give his vote in f *vor of Mr Walker, who has always adopted the old colonial style of full and plenty. Trusting, Sir, you will give me the space, I am, etc., Frank Jenkins, North-West Town Belt.
