ELECTOR IN REPLY TO MR WASON.
Sir,— As the person signing himself " Elector," referred to by Mr Waaon, in his letter which appeared in your issue of Saturday, I beg to say that I did not say he had salicited and obtained the vote of p the largest landowners in the district. What I did say, was that he solicited and obtained the support of one of the largest landed proprietors in the district. I rill now go further, and state what I know to be a fact (and not a deliberate falsehood) that he not ODly solicited and obtained the support of the largest landowner in the county, bat he also endeavored to induce that gentleman to influence his manager and those under him in his (Mr Wason'e) behalf. In this, however, he did not succeed, as that gentleman scorned the idea of interfering with either the freedom of his manager or employees' political opinions, aud, I believe, that both manager and men will go for Mr Walker to a man. I think. Sir, I have succeeded in giving Mr Wason back the lie in his teeth —I am, etc., An Elector.
