LATEST FROM EUROPE[REUTER’S TELEGRAMS—COPYRIGHT.] The Conference. London, July 2. The Egyptian Conference continued its deliberations to-day. Mr Edgar Vincent, Financial Adviser to the Khedive, recommended that the taxes now levied in Egypt should be largely reduced. The Frozen Meat Trade. London, July 3. The cargo of frozen mutton ex steamship Liguria, comprising 5,459 carcases, from Melbourne and Sydney, has been sold at $d per lb. The meat was in good condition. The Cholera in France. Paris, J uly 2. No fresh outbreak .of cholera has occured, and it is believed that the precautions which have been taken will prevent the further spread of the disease. Several deaths, however, are reported daily at Toulon and Marseilles.

The Chinese Indemnity. The French' Government has demanded from China an indemnity of £20,000,000 on account of the recent action of Chinese troops in opposing, by force of arms, the occupation of Longsin by the French forces. A Contradiction. Cairo, July 2. The reported resignation of Nubar Pasha, President of the Egyptian Council of Ministers, is authoritatively denied. An Arab Victory. Reports Have reached here from Assouan that the town of Debbah has been attacked and captured bv the Arab rebels, and that all the garrison were massacred. It is slated that the Arabs numbered 12,000 men. Obituary. St. Petersburg, July 2. The death is announced of General Francis Edward Todleben, the celebrated Russian military engineer.
