Stock Market under date Ist ■ tX, . 1884 !— Sheep : The entry throughout, though moderate in number, displayed sheep of good quality, and superior as regards condition. to many recent markets. • Ihe tone of the sale was on the whole exceedingly quiet, with very little demand, and this was especially noticeable in the fat pens, where very little business was done, most of the lines submitted being withdrawn unsold. tat crossbreds made 14s and Iss, 2 and 4-tooth mixed sexes 12s 3d, and a line of very good well-grown longwool lambs, submitted by us, 12s 6d, which we believe to be the best price for this class oi stock for a considerable lime i : Vefy few yarded and business * limited. Fat cows and heifers made L 4 s s , Ls, and L 5 17s 6d; steers,- L 515 ; dry betters, L 3, L 3 7s 6d. __
