The three previous drawings were filled a week prior to the advertised date of closing. The Public of New Zealand hare appreciated these Grand Hamburg Drawings, therefore the Company anticipate having their Fifth Drawing on a larger scale. This Fourth Grand Drawing for L 3,000 will close about the end of August, and the Fifth Drawing will open on the Ist September, The large number of applications (over 900) that came too late will be duly registered for this Fourth Drawing. This fourth grand drawing will consist of 240 money prizes, amounting to L 3,000 subscribed by 6,000 members at 10s each. The various Money Prizes will be distributed as follows : 1 £3OO prize; 1 £l5O prize; 1 £IOO prize; 2 £SO prizes; 5 £3O prizes; 10 £25 prizes; 10 £2O prizes; 10 £ls prizes ; 120 £lO prizes ;80 £5 prizes. Total amount, £3,000; 240 money prizes. The grand principle of these Hamburg Drawings is that a purchaser of 25 programes is guaranteed a prize, as’ it is so drawn that a prize must come out to every 25 numbers, aad the chances are in favor of the investor drawing a large prize, as there are 160 large prizes to 80 small ones. To any investor of £2 the chances are only 6 to 1 against him draw* ing a prize, and the head prize or any other may be dravn by any investor of 10s. The Company would not presume to tell the public that they have a number of chances and can win a number of prizes for a single investment of 10s. The large bulk of the money in this Grand Prawing is not given away in one big prize, as it is in the horse consultations, But you will observe in this Hamburg Drawing that the £3,000 is fairly proportioned into 240 prizes, giving every shareholder an equal chance of getting a good prize. This Hamburg Drawing is one of the most novel, and will be conducted on the fairest principle possible, so as to give entire public satisfaction. This fourth grand drawing for £3,000 will take place under the supervision of a committee of eight gentlemen, and the prizes will be paid over as early as possible after the drawing. Our programme on Queen’s Birthday filled about 60 per cent, over the original issue.. Each ticket has six chances, and is drawn on the principle that if a programme does not fill, prizes are paid pro rata. We reserve to ourselves the right of continuing the sale of shares over advertised number, if necessity dptpands it, and thereby adding to the value of all prizes by a. pro rata addition.
