Oauabu, To-day, At the adjourned meeting of the Committee to-day a renewal of the North Town Belt Hotel was refused, and that of the Swan Hotel will not be renewed unless the owner gives a substantial guarantee that a new hotel will be commenced within six months. The Chairman suggested the guarantee should be half a year’s rent, L 225, to be lodged with the Mayor or Town Cxerk. The final decision was deferred until Friday. Election News. Dunedin, To-day.
