Herman’s WORLD-RENOWNED SHEEP WASH AND CELEBRATED VERMIN DESTROYER. This preparation is known throughout the civilised world to be far superior to anything yet discovered for eradicating tick, scab or lice on sheep, goats or cattle. It is sufficient to say that One Shilling Packet of the Powder dissolved in two buckets of water will wash Eighteen Sheep. This admits the most economial, as well as the simplest plan in the world for the cure and prevention of diseases incident to farm stock. By its use the farmer can secure the health of his stock at the rate of |d per head per annum. In all large Sheep Districts in Australia, South America, and Africa, no other preparation is used. The vermin destroyer is also invaluable for the purpose of the Horticulturist; and it is most extensively used by the Flower and Kitchen Gardener in Europe, America, and the British possessions in all parts of the Globe. One packet dissolved in two buckets of water will serve for over half an acre of ground and will effectually prevent blight and exclude all other garden pests. ■ As a Vermin Killer it is an unrivalled specific. Its use will speedily exterminate all household pests, such as bugs, cockroaches, fleas on animals, moths in furs, and insects on birds of all kinds, from the canary to the poultry. For this purpose simpl and plain directions are given on every packet. The powder can also be used in a dry state for the destruction of rats and mica. A little sprinkled on a slice of bread and butter, or a piece of meat or cheese is sought after greedily by those vermin, while the household pets such as cats and dogs will not toush it in any form, and are therefore perfectly safe. The Champion Binder is a machine made for Hard Service, and upon this preeminent fact the reputation of all Champion Machines is founded. The Cutting Apparatus is acknowledge to be immeasurably superior to that on any other Harvester. The finger bar is of angle steel and the fingers of wrought iron. The Platform Belt runs within half an inch of the knife, enabling the Champion to cut and convey the shortest crop in good manner. The Butter Belt employed on some _ machines is a rickety, rapidly running arrangement, and is superseded in the Champion by an iron Butts Packer, durable and effective. The Main Wheel is veiy high, has a broad tire, and the bearing in the centre is I6in long, is vastly superior to the main wheel of any other binder, and will run a dozen years, and not cant over or get loose and shaky. The Elevating Belts on other harvesters are nearly perpendicular, on the Champion, however, the angle is very slight, requiring much less power to elevate the grain, and it is not necessary to run the belts so close together, the heads of the grain are not broken off or shelled out. These features are only found in the Champion, and every farmer will realise their importance. The Binding Mechanism is a combination of the best kno"wsystems, and is thoroughly perfected. The makers of the Champion control the’Appleby pa ents, and all harvesters using this system pay them a royalty. The Champion contains other improvements too numerous to particularise, and must be seen to be appreciated.
