THE AUSTRALIANS IN ENGLAND. [retier's TELEGRAMS —COPYRIGHT.] London, June 12. The Australian team commenced the cricket match to-day against the representatives of tho Nottingham County at Nottingham. The following are the names of the local team;—Messrs Wright, Atturwell, Barnes, Flowers, Green, Scotton, Selby, A. Shaw, Sherwin, Shrewsbury, W. Wright. There was a large attendance of spectators, and the weather was splendid. The ground was in good order, and an excellent wicket has been prepared. The home team went in first, and scored 170. Burns, bowled 33, was the highest scorer. The Australians then went in for the first innings, and when the stumps were drawn for the day had lost two wickets for 44, Giffen, not out, 22.
